End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and Smith Robinson ("we", "us") for the DISKO desktop software you download from diskolabs.org — including DISKO Sync, DISKO Remix, and any related tools and updates (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to this Agreement.
License grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your personal or business use, subject to this Agreement. Free tools may be used at no charge; paid features and cloud services may require a separate subscription and additional terms via disko.media.
Restrictions
- Don't sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Software.
- Don't reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where the law expressly permits.
- Don't remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Don't use the Software to infringe others' rights or break the law.
Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Smith Robinson and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Software, including all intellectual-property rights. DISKO™ and related marks are trademarks of Smith Robinson.
Your content
The Software is local-first: your media and files remain yours and stay on your device unless you choose to use a cloud feature. We claim no ownership of your content.
Updates
We may provide updates from time to time. This Agreement governs any updates unless they are accompanied by their own terms.
No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk. Always keep backups of important media.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smith Robinson will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, media, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to the Software.
Termination
This license ends automatically if you breach it. On termination you must stop using and delete the Software. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.
Export & compliance
You agree to use the Software in compliance with all applicable export laws and regulations.
Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
