Decades makes footage look like it came from another era. Pick a look and it builds the whole chain that era's picture went through: the camera's frame rate, the lens, the process's color, grain, damage, light leaks and burns, the projector, tape, codec or screen, borders and on-screen text. Tune it with a few macro controls, or load the look into the Custom controls and open up every stage.

  1. Twenty looks, from 1850s wet plate and 1920s silent film to VHS, a flip phone, a broken LCD and modern 35mm
  2. Each look is a full chain of stages, not a color filter
  3. Macro controls on every look: Grain, Wear, Color, Instability, Frame Rate, Tone, Borders & Text
  4. Film: held frames, a hand-cranked camera's unevenness, halation, grain, dust, hairs, scratches, burns and light leaks
  5. Video: CCD smear, rolling shutter, interlacing, real 8x8 DCT compression blocks, stale blocks, VHS smear and tracking
  6. Real datamosh: at a cut, the old picture is dragged along by the new shot's block motion vectors
  7. Screens and print: picture tubes with three kinds of mask, a mono text terminal, 8-bit palettes, CMYK halftone, red/cyan 3D, cracked glass
  8. Film edges, slide mounts, instant frames, a VCR counter and date stamp, security-camera labels
  9. Load into Custom Controls: start from any look and change every stage
  10. Seeded, so every render matches; 8, 16 and 32 bpc, Multi-Frame Rendering
